Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes)

This course is based on the National Standards for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work. It specifies the outcomes required to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes) for licensing purposes. It encompasses the requirement for non-slewing mobile crane licence and the vehicle loading crane licence. 

Introduction

A licence to perform high risk work is required if workers use or operate high risk work equipment or plant. Licences are valid in every Australian state and territory, enabling workers to operate high risk equipment under consistent standards throughout Australia. 

COURSE CONTENT

Training will be delivered to students in how to plan the work, conduct routine checks, set up crane, transfer loads, mobile loads and shut down and secure the crane.

COURSE DELIVERY and DURATION


This training is delivered at our Welshpool and Bunbury training centres and onsite at the clients’ workplace by arrangement. Each of the courses for the crane licences takes approximately 40 hours. Training times vary, depending of candidate’s experience.

CERTIFICATION

On successful completion of the practical and written assessments, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for the unit of competency: TLILIC3008A Licence to operate a slewing mobile crane (up to 20 tonnes)

LICENSING

An application for a High Risk Work Licence (C2 - Slewing Mobile Crane up to 20 tonnes including CN, CV) will be sent to WorkSafe WA for processing).

he price of this High Risk Work Licence course includes the WorkSafe High Risk Licence application fees and the photographs required.
